Expensive and high quality
December 23, 2020
The Thomastik-Infeld bronze strings are really superb quality. Both the Spectrum and Plectrum varieties work very well on my custom Kinnaird OM (Lucky Strike redwood on ziricote). The Plectrums have a softer, mellower tone and require a guitar with good sustain and strong overtones. The Spectrums are zingier and probably more useful on medium range guitars.
Well made and packaged, reasonably long life, sound fantastic. Very expensive. When they finally got old, the dullness seemed to come on very fast.

Definitely the nicest sounding and playing acoustic string I have used to date. I have tried numerous brands over 40 plus years and unfortunately, these are also the most expensive so far. These will have to be the ones for recording sessions so the coffee can goes back out for collections, lol. Thanks again Just Strings for a pleasing eye opener.

The Best Strings

I've played guitar for 40 years, and these are the best acoustic guitar strings I've ever used - period. The tone is incredible, and the longevity is amazing. The only drawback is the price, which is why I no longer use them...

My favorite string to date...

Even more resonant bass than the Markleys if just a little less, well, pliable -- but simply gorgeous tone, harmonics and clarity. Worth the extra expense in my opinion. Bring out the absolute best in my DN3.

I have never gone wrong with a Tomastik-Infeld string. These were the first acoustic strings I have purchased for a new guitar and wanted to be sure I got something I could reliably trust to give me the goods without the hype.

Great Strings
October 29, 2010
I use them on a big 17" jazz box and they sound excellent, with great definition high to low and no muddiness whatsoever. Best of all, they give this guitar a much more acoustic sound than nickel strings, which is what I was hoping.

After trying numerous other strings on a Martin HD28VS the two best were Newtone 80/20 Master Class and these Thomastik Spectrums. I think the Spectrums are the better of the two for both the sound tones
and ease of playability. The Newtones in the same gauge feel heavier and stiffer.

After testing 6-8 different brands of strings, I settled on Thomastiks for all three of my acoustic guitars, and I've used them exclusively for more than 5 years.
