I have never looked back! The lack of winding squeel as fingers transition is priceless for recordings. They wear well -- all the time expressing different facets of character as they age.
Unlike other flat wound strings, the the TI's are never dull sounding and the bass when new makes my acoustic guitar sound like a piano.
No other strings for me.
I just re-strung my Crafters of TN resophonic round neck guitar with Thomastik-Infeld Electric Guitar Steel/Nickel Flat Wound Medium, .013 - .053, JS113 that I bought from you - which, yes, I know is typically a "no-no" to put electric strings on an acoustic instrument. The sound is phenomenal, though! A little dark/ warm, but by no means "thuddy" or "toneless." For what I'm using the instrument for, they give me the PERFECT tone! Even with the medium gauge, the strings play smoothly and with ease - a far cry from the D'addario Flat Tops I replaced. (No offense to you; I know you carry both sets, but those Flat Tops are HORRID and barely playable). I want to review these TI strings so badly, but I can't figure out how to do that on the site. Feel free if you'd like to upload this, as I see there are currently no reviews for these strings in the medium gauge.
Anyways, just thought I'd pass along my news - I'm ecstatic!! Thanks for carrying these, and thanks also for super quick shipment and secure ordering, as always. You remain my go-to guys for all my string needs. :)
Sincerely,
Chris
