Best on the market

I have tried dozens of brands, and hundreds of sets in just about every configuration conceived of, of bass strings over the last 40+ years and for tone, playability and longevity there's nothing else on the market today that come remotely close to the Thomastik-Infeld JR & JF Jazz series flats & rounds. I have a set of the JR-345's on my Warwick Corvette 5 and even after years of hard use they still play and sound fantastic so in my humble opinion TI is the best that money can buy.

These strings are really nice and well balanced. Very good for slap bass playing and general playing. They are very loose strings so you will not be able to play them hard or else you'll lose the definition of your notes. Set aside that, they feel almost like flat wound strings. Excellent strings!!!!

Thomastik nickel wound

I had expected for this price tag to really have some killer strings, my intention was to use them on a Musicman Stingray V fretless. They were not suited to that bass at all, got all sorts of weird phasing and humming out of the pickups- I put them on a Fender Jazz and had a different experience - they sound good, not exceptional, I would say very mellow in tone. The strong point with this string is how they feel under your fingertips, that is enough to spoil you if you are ok with the sound.
