Red Series
IMPORTANT NOTICE: When purchasing Red Aquila strings, please be certain of the correct set for your instrument. If not correctly sized, breakage is likely to occur. Such breakage is not covered under warranty, so be careful!
Aquila’s newest innovation is the Red Series of ukulele strings. By using a copper infused, fluorocarbon material, these unwound strings gain density thereby allowing them to reach lower frequencies without increasing the diameter of the string. A denser, lower gauge string gives a brighter, fuller sound and more consistent intonation avoiding the dullness of higher gauge strings. You will find these strings to have a stronger, clearer projection.
Red Series sets are available for Soprano, Concert and Tenor, all in both Regular and Low G sets. These sets are entirely Red Series strings. Or you can use other Aquila strings and add a low G single Red Series string. You can find single Red Series strings on our site at http://www.juststrings.com/aquilaukuleleothersinglestrings.html. A Baritone EBGD set with two wound strings is also available in the Aquila ukulele set section.
