best vintage sounding and playing string
August 2, 2020
I always use pure nickel wrap strings on all of my vintage guitar and a few of my more modern ones . I love the tone and the feel . I have also used their hex wound pure nickel sets but I prefer the round core ones . Great tuning stability and life BUT on a round core string you need to make sure you make a hard bend below where you cut it . If not , there is always the possibility of the wraps unwinding and the wound strings may go dead sooner . Again , my favorite strings for a vintage electric guitar and although they are expensive , they are worth it to me .
