I've always used humidifiers with my guitars, but wasn't always on top of keeping them filled up. I recently upgraded by classical guitar to a Keith Adams and definitely wanted to make sure proper humidity was maintained. With the Oasis Humidifier, I have a visual indication each time I take it out of my guitar and now know precisely when I need to refill it. Great product!

I have six of these and use them religiously. One correction to the previous review: you must use DISTILLED water, not tap water. Buy a gallon of distilled water at the grocery store and it'll last you several years.

Oasis guitar humidifier
Humidity is water. This product is wonderfully simple and effective. Unlike some of the other devices I've seen in catalogs, this one uses tapwater as opposed to "humidification fluid" that you have to buy continuously. It seems to distribute the evaporated water evenly and efficiently. I "top it off" about every 3 days or so but it could last 7 as the manufacturer says. The thing does its job safely (no drips unless you're a moron) and I can tell the difference when I play my guitars. Even before the drastic result of cracks, proper humidity is important for the setup feel and sound of a fine guitar. I'd say that it's somewhat overpriced but it is a specialty item so I suppose that's OK. I think it works well and recommend it.
