Jargar Double Bass Strings
While most strings are churned out by machines, Jargar continues to manufacture high-quality strings at a slower pace. Jargar’s experienced and skilled string-makers each produce only about 60 strings a day at the company’s factory in Denmark. Jargar double bass strings are available in three versions called forte, medium and dolce, which are commonly identified by the color of the ball end. The forte (red) strings are the thickest. The forte (red) and medium (blue) strings are made to be used for orchestra tuning only. The thinner dolce (green) strings can be tuned for solo playing. All three versions are handmade with alloy windings around a twisted wire core to produce a warm, well balanced tone.
