I am not a fanatic...

...when it comes to guitar strings. I usually get what is cheap, and don't see a dramatic difference in various brands or styles.

I can't really explain why, but I have been using these for a couple of years now.

No motivation to try cheaper strings, or the next new thing. I guess that says a lot.
Prosstrings are individually wrapped - for some reason I really like that nice gauge seem to last well LOTS of compliments on the tone I don't recall ever breaking one
Consnot the cheapest available sneaky suspicion that I pay more for dude's photo on the package!

I use these specifically on Gibson Firebirds. All birds with the reverse head stock rattle on the Low E. Lighter gauge strings just flop around on Birds across the register. These are Perfect to solve many inherit problems Birds have.

Great Strings

These are my favorite on a Gibson scale guitar. They sound great and hold up as well or better as any string I've tried.

GHS Bommers Gilmour series for Les Paul
May 18, 2011
If you are a bender, you cant go wrong with GHS Boomers. Obviously, string gauge is a matter of personal preference and style, but I find that the Gilmour series strings have the right combination of thinner treble strings and boomy bass strings to get the tone I'm seeking for the style of Music I play. Bendy and boomy!

Just great strings! Balance is very good for mixed gauge (light top - heavy bottom), sound is brightest, even too bright - they ring as little bells! Tone is rather "wet" than "fat" :) Chords are pretty readable. Those who lack the "strat" sound from "lespaul" - just try this set. Thanks GHS and David Gilmour for exellent strings! My rating of this item: ******* :)

Great feel and tone.

These string gauges are a perfect transfer of feel going from the Gilmour Strat strings to the shorter Gibson scale! If you like the Gilmour gauge on your Fender 25" scale, then you'll have to put this set on your 24.75" scaled guitars. You'll be amazed how consistent they feel going between guitars. As with the Fender scale strings, tone is solid and articulate.
