Fender acoustic guitar strings are available in both phosphor bronze and 80/20 bronze. 80/20 bronze strings are brighter at first than phosphor bronze strings, but lose their initial bright tone quality relatively quickly. Phosphor bronze will give you a warmer, richer tone than 80/20 and maintain its tone for a longer period of time. If you are not sure whether you might prefer phosphor bronze or 80/20 bronze, you might get a set of each in the same gauge to see which one sounds best to you on your guitar.
Fender acoustic strings come in several gauges depending on your preference. Most players prefer a light gauge .012 - .052 set or medium gauge .013 - .056 set.
