Der Red Devils...electric strings
November 14, 2012
I would stack this string, playabitlity, uncoated sound in a coated string, length of playing life, (of course the cool color!) and ANY other category, up against anything. I use heavy bottoms/light tops, .010 to .052 on all electrics with the exception of a new '2012' LP Gold Top that I just use the regular .010-.046 on, and only because the guitar came "PLEK'd" to that gauge set, and since I had never even played (knowingly) a guitar set up and intonated with a PLEK machine, and wanted to give it an honest test, (and damned if it isn't all that and a bag of picks). I've yet to have one problem...not one, except, of course, all the dipshit things I do while beating my guitars to a bloody pulp...so, sorry for the ramble, as usual, but these are some kinda strings. I've NEVER played a coated string that did not discernibly sound coated, but...well, just slap a set on and hopefully you'll agree with me. (BTW...I do not really like to write reviews, seems that no matter what I say, I'm flamed by someone that has what he/she calls "tons of experience" and then tell me what a dick I am, lol, but I gotta write this one, as it really is true...
