I was having g string troubles with a les paul style guitar. A forum member gave me your link to the wound g. What a difference. I'm a fan for life!!

NW017 (single string)
May 16, 2011
I've been using NW018 until I found out that an .017 was available. I switched as it replaces the .017 plain third on the EHR 310 sets I use on all my guitars. It's probably all in my head, but to my mind it puts all the set in balance. I certainly am pleased with "Just Strings" and have told others about this fine company.
Great third string

I replace most sets with this string as it adds brilliance and bends easily. I use this string as a third on many sets and get a great tone out of them. I usually hate roundwounds because they are noisy (finger squeak), these however are small and are noise free as a bonus. Also much better to set your intonation with this as a third string...

.17 WOUND STRING
February 7, 2011
I BUY AND INSTALL LITE GAUAGE ELECTRIC ON ALL MY GUITARS. .10 THROUGH .46 UNFORTUNATELY THE 3RD STRING ON LIGHTGUAGE STRINGS ARE ONLY OFFERED WITH .17 UNWOUND STRING. I REPLACE THE UNWOUND WITH .17 WOUND STRING. I FIND THAT THE .17 PLAIN STRING HAS A VERY TINNY SOUND. BY REPLACING THE UNWOUND WITH A WOUND A MUCH BETTER SOUND IS PRODUCED WHEN PLAYING. I CAN ONLY FIND .17 WOUND ELECTRIC STRINGS IN D'ADDARIO.
