Great tone & light touch

These strings are easy on the fingers and give my Northfield Calhoun mandolin a nice warm tone despite their light gauge.

SIT better for me

I had my G pair one each of SIT Light and D'addario Light 80/20, and the SIT was much better. Louder, brighter, prettier, more responsive. So I didn't put the D'addario set on. Note that the D & G are one step heavier on the SIT to even up the tension. My Northfield Calhoun came with the same string gauges as the SIT lights. SIT were better than those, Northfield strings. But note that flimsy cheap mandos with no truss rod may not like the heavier lights.

These strings work great. D'Addario strings are always the ones I buy. They are very consistent and reliable. I think they are very reasonably priced.

Switched from the strings that came on my mandolin to these and it was an instant improvement. Feel and sound awesome.
