Also I've noticed that these strings sound really clear and chimey which isn't a bad thing but on my rig I had to cut the treble from about 12 o'clock to about 9 o'clock to get rid of that ice pick G string, and they don't really have the same punch and grit that a set of EB's has. Speaking of the G string, it is super loud compared to every other string in the set, like really loud
If you play pop or jazz or anything that needs a cleaner, more standard bass tone these will work great for you but for me they lack the dirt and beef for anything heavier.
At least they don't rust like Ernie Ball
Overall 3.5/5
Bright & tight. Good stuff.
Cons: Sometimes I feel like I'm going to break the higher strings when I get too carried away playing. If the action seems too movable for you try the EXL170 which range from .045 to .100.
