Larsen Cello A, CA5LynneNovember 6, 2009Just the best there is! Smooth even tone right out of the pack. Matched with a Larsen "D" is a great combination. I prefer the standard to the Soloist as I feel the Soloists is a bit bright and tends to get more so. Note to the student/novice: have your teacher string the "A" for you. They can easily pop just beyond the proper tuning and they are expensive!
Larsen Cello A, CA5TimSeptember 24, 2009Very consistent, high quality string that brings out the best in the instrument. Also comes in even more powerful soloist editionp; I use this at the moment. Smooth and even playing all the way from the nut to the end of the fingerboard, provides a large dynammic range. Best I brand I have used. Alloy construction.
