Worth the cost

I have owned my 12 string for 50 years and replaced strings every 3-4 months, the last set of Thomastick were the exception, I went over 12 months before ordering a new set which are the ones I have just received. So I hope these last as long but they are the best set I have ever owned.

Rich tone but holding their tune for an incredible time and changing 12 strings is always a pain so this is a big plus, going 12 months between changes. None noticed, just rather expensive!

Got about 70 hours playing time before frets dented some strings and age caught up with tarnish. Sixth string labeled .010" but a .009" in package, thus 4 stars...
Best sounding experiment string wise to date for me. Played beautifully, tone I'd not felt that made soul & spirit get into it. But price for this old fart limits it to studio but not road. Plugged in these roared or chimed at with equal crosstones dead nuts on. My fingers have new calluses.

Thomastik-Infeld Spectrum Bronze 12 string (11-52)

I like these strings. I put them on my 78' Guild F512 a couple weeks ago, and left it at 1/2 step down, and they sounded great. This week I had to tune up to standard tuning to play for the church (along with other guitar players)... and the guitar sounded even better at standard tuning. The string gauges and construction are better than my standard options that I buy off the shelf. Deep rich bass.. easy fretting all chords that I play (up to the 5th fret). I don't like the cost of these strings... but I am ordering another set because I like them so well on the Guild, and will get a set for the 6 string guitars too!
