Long scale happy

Musical, long life and stable...kind of like how most of us would like to be. They are a little more expensive, but their longevity makes up for frequent string changes. Tone is a bonus. The company is well known and respected for its wide spectrum of strings. Very highly recommended.
Long life; musical tone.

Infeld Bass Strings

These are great strings. I have used them since they came out, so for some years now. These strings nail the modern tone, beautiful warm mids, clear lows and sweet highs. Great for slapping and pizz tool. I also use the Power Bass Strings, and those are the best string ever, but can have too much tension on certain basses. The Infeld strings fill that gap for me and sound fantastic, without being high tension, and do not fight you at all. Clear as a bell with great tone and playability and fairly long lasting. I can get three months out of them.

Infeld IN344

Better than some strings I'm sure, but not as good as TI's better strings. If you want roundwounds, my advice is to spend the extra money for the Thomastik-Infeld EB344 PowerBass set. There is a reason Dr. Thomastik's name isn't on the IN344 package. I bought two sets of these IN344's. While installing the first set the "D" string broke at the wire that goes around the anchor grommet before I ever got the string to pitch the very first time. An obvious defect. I had to open the second set to finish the setup. There is nothing really special about the sound or the feel of these IN344's. Just another roundwound! I was expecting a string similar to the EB344 but these IN344's are vastly inferior. I will continue to pay whatever it costs to get the Thomastic-Infeld EB344 PowerBass set. Even though the TI EB344's cost more I think I get way more for my money and a string I can really get excited about. These IN344's are so BLAND compared to the EB344's. The IN344's have higher tension, lower output, reduced highs, less sustain, softer lows and even lack the quality feel of the PowerBass EB344 set. You might as well buy Fender 9050's because these IN344's sound and play about the same to me. Very disappointed that such an expensive string sounded and felt so mediocre. The IN344 set is the only TI bass set I've ever really been disappointed in. The rest are all great!

From the moment you pull the string out of the envelope you'll notice it's a different string. It's a bit more like rope than a metal wire. It sounds and feels excellent. Almost rubbery. It seems to buzz less on the frets too. If you're wondering if they're any good, they're worth a try!
