Broken string

As I was doing a setup with a new Powerbass set, the "G" string broke at the breadstick. Not what I expect from Thomastick.

TI Power Bass are the best round wound strings

I've tried everything on my '66 P-bass, including Rotosounds (super bright, then dead in a month), D'Addarios (better life, but brittle and hard), Elixir (great life, but hard), La Bellas (too mellow), Pyramids (dull), and a few others I can't remember. Nothing sounds as good (rich tone, clear but balanced), plays as good (tight but easy), or lasts as long (years) as the TI Power Bass. There's really no comparison. They're expensive, but much cheaper in the long run. All I wish is that I'd discovered them earlier. I also have Tis on my upright, and TI Jazz flats on some others.

T I strings are JUNK!!

Dont believe the hype, If you like strings that sound like greesey rubber bands then go it! They sound duller than any string I'v ever tried. A true Rip Off. The two week old stock strings on my new bass sound better. I'm all about good tone, so I tried somthing new and was ripped off $65. I'm sticking to Rotosounds and Elixers, which both sound much better and cost LESS

T-I Power Bass Magnecore Round Wound

I've got a set of these on my Fender P-Bass Special, and I love, love, love them! I tried a set of something else a few years ago, based on a comparison test in Bass Player magazine, and they just couldn't hold a candle to the sound of these! Ripped the others off, and put these back on. And will never stray again!

I won't put any other strings on my full scale basses. They play and feel the best and last the longest. I use them on 3 different basses and they react and feel appropriately for the specific bass. Nothing to think about Thomastik are the best you'll play and they are well worth the extra money.
