I am enjoying this 8 String E13 Tuning Lap Steel Guitar strings. They are well priced and with excellent quality.

Will also work for Jr. Junkies
October 12, 2011
This set will work for Jr Brown's E13 tuning as well as the advertised one and a few others. I put these on a home made Guitsteel (lap steel 8 string with a 6 string regular guitar neck above the lap steel, and set on a music stand, unless you have a spine made of oak) and tuned to C13. No problem. Some strings are a step high, some a step low, and others half up or down. I use SIT on my Showbud prototype Custom Pro III and like them for less bar noise, so for the Guitsteel these were a no brainer.

Great strings! Sound really good for the authentic tone of these instruments and have good tuning stability.

Gibson Console Grande
November 7, 2009
Strung up both mine and 93 year old uncles Gibson Console Grande's with SIT's. Great strings for those vintage lap and non pedal guitars. Semi-flat and they come in all the tunings one could want! Excellent price!! Anyone for some Don Helms!!

Scotty's Non Pedal Steel Guitar Strings
September 8, 2009
As a novice lap steel guitar player, I was taken aback by the specific string gauge requirements these guitars need. After researching the two tunings best for me, I figured I would have to buy the strings separately. Of course I wasted a precious few hours finding out that no single place had exactly what I needed for my Nation Grand Console. That is until I discovered Scotty's brand on Juststrings.com, which not only specializes in lap/pedal steel strings, but also have sets with the right gauges for the most commonly used tunings! Sweet deal.

The Company

"When the S.I.T. Strings Company was started in 1973, we wanted to be different from any other in the industry. Extensive marketing and large sales were never our primary goals. Due to the fact that we both had a love for the guitar and music, the company always reflected our enthusiasm for change. And change is what this company was based on, never being content with the standards of everyone else, but always striving for a higher level. By creating and inventing things that had never been thought of before, S.I.T. has always made strings that change things.

Quality control was also a major concern, and it was discovered long ago that only caring machine operators could be permitted to construct musical instrument strings. Each and every piece had to have the individual attention of the engineer, and our strings are still made this way today.

After S.I.T.'s humble start, it was not long before professional and amateur players alike were demanding the product on an international scale. Since that time, we have grown by leaps and bounds, and are always looking for ways to create new products and improve old ones.

S.I.T. is committed to, as well as thankful to, the musicians who made us what we are. We will always strive to stay the most progressive string company in the world.

Why not inspect our strings closely and prove this to yourself? Stop by for a free factory tour, and see them made while you wait.

The improvements and innovations have only just begun, and as we move into the next century there will always be room for improvement. We invite you to be a partner along that journey with us."
