S I T has a home in my guitar arsenal!
March 25, 2013
I was first introduced to SIT strings when my new EPS electric HSS came equipped with them from the factory. Apparently guitar companies are listening to their customers. I was a die-hard Ernie Ball user for a long time, that is until these came along. Now I'm eventually switching over to S I T exclusively. I recently acquired a Regal RD40V Studio Resonator guitar, which came equipped with D'Addario something-something phosphor bronze strings. They tarnish continuously and my finger tips are black with each use, that is until I got two sets of the SIT Royal Bronze 1254 and replaced the D'Addarios with these. Sound quality is phenomenal and like all SIT strings, they do stay in tune. Great engineering can't be beat!

The Royal Bronze set has been extra special. They have maintained their tone for a Month. I play them at least 4 hours Seven days a week, and they stay in tune & maintain their brilliance.

Been using these for many years on both my Taylor K10 and my '70's Alvarez Yairi DY model. Great string for me. Our fingers/bodies are all different when it comes to ph balance, i.e., how the string reacts to your body and/or sweat, so it's a fairly objective opinion. In other words, what works well for me might not work as well for someone else. Anyway, I find these strings to retain their brightness for a fairly long time and the "stay in tune" factor is great. They also respond great to being amplified.

Royal BronzeÔ

"Our premium acoustic string. Phosphor (92/8) bronze cover wrap over a Swedish steel hex core. Exclusive "Fusion Wound" technology utilizes electricity to adhere the bronze cover wrap more tightly to the core. This process eliminates loose spots in the winding (which can cause a dead sound) and increases string life. Good for all applications and ideal for use with pickup or capo."

The Company

"When the S.I.T. Strings Company was started in 1973, we wanted to be different from any other in the industry. Extensive marketing and large sales were never our primary goals. Due to the fact that we both had a love for the guitar and music, the company always reflected our enthusiasm for change. And change is what this company was based on, never being content with the standards of everyone else, but always striving for a higher level. By creating and inventing things that had never been thought of before, S.I.T. has always made strings that change things.

Quality control was also a major concern, and it was discovered long ago that only caring machine operators could be permitted to construct musical instrument strings. Each and every piece had to have the individual attention of the engineer, and our strings are still made this way today.

After S.I.T.'s humble start, it was not long before professional and amateur players alike were demanding the product on an international scale. Since that time, we have grown by leaps and bounds, and are always looking for ways to create new products and improve old ones.

S.I.T. is committed to, as well as thankful to, the musicians who made us what we are. We will always strive to stay the most progressive string company in the world.

Why not inspect our strings closely and prove this to yourself? Stop by for a free factory tour, and see them made while you wait.

The improvements and innovations have only just begun, and as we move into the next century there will always be room for improvement. We invite you to be a partner along that journey with us."
