Great for Fretless

Put these on a brand new inexpensive Rogue Fretless 4 string Bass and the playability increased dramatically. Great tone as well. Good value for me.

Great classic feel!

I got these on a bit of a whim. I've been playing chromes for about 15 years and never really felt a need to switch. I saw these were made close to where I live and were a relatively inexpensive set to give a try. Jeez, these are great feeling flats. I don't know that I'll ever buy another set of chromes again. Only downside is a lack of gauge variety. But these are pretty close to as standard a set gauge as you can get. I'll have to see how they age. But I really can't put down the bass I put them on. I barely pick up my main bass with chromes right now.
Inexpensive

Have been using this brand and type of strings for about 10 years. Excellent quality for a good price.
Stay in tune and last a long time.
No cons if you like this kind of strings.

Great flats!

I have been using SIT strings on my basses and guitars for the better part of a decade. They are my favorite brand, period. So, why not try their flats? I put this set on an ESP Vintage 4 p/j. They feel great, of course, but they sound fat and clear. Flats are by nature stiffer strings, so not much bending going on, but overall, another winner from the people in Akron, Ohio!

Great bass strings

I have been playing bass since 1971 and have used every brand, every make available. As a guitar tech/repairman I've seen and installed them all! These Power Flats are amazing for the versatility they provide for the different range of sounds. Everything from James Jamerson smooth to Chris Squires crisp and cutting bass sounds. The nickel wrap adds to the fullness of the tone and the sharp edges knocked off of the outer wrap makes for a buttery smooth feel.
I have played them installed on Rick and Precision basses with passive pickups, both through vintage tube amps and modern high-tech amps with compression. They always sound great!
