Great Tone
September 11, 2013
I've used many different strings for over 40 years on my Gibson Les Pauls, ES-335s, Fender Stratocasters, PRS and Sadowsky guitars. I also use Sadowsky strings on my guitars. These Pyramid strings work well on all my guitars. Whether I'm playing Jazz, Blues or Classic Rock these strings have great tone for all the styles I play. I was worried they would sound good on a Strat but not on a Les Paul (or vice versa) but I was wrong. They are the best sounding strings I've ever played. I don't play metal so I'm not sure how they'd sound for you shredders! Cheers ...

Fantastic strings

I just stepped up to these from EB Cobalt Slinky's. The difference is astounding. I really liked the EB, but these are incredible, warm and stay in tune like magic.

I am playing these on a PRS Custom 24. My primary style is a rock/fusion/bendy-bluesy kinda thing...oh well something like that.

Anyway, try these strings. At this price they aren't that out of range for normal strings and the difference is amazing. Get 'em.

Amazing performance!

I've used these strings for one month now. They definitely last longer than any string set I've ever used. They have a great playability because they have the thinner core, and the tone is perfect!

I'm sold. These last for a very long time and stay true better than any name brand stuff from Guitarget. Even at the price they are a bargain when you consider you get 4 times the life out of one set.

These are by far the best strings I have ever used. A sales man at my local music shop SOLD me on them years ago. The store has since refused to stock them so I am thankful to find them online. I can say you will not want to use other strings after these have been on your guitar. The strings resonate and sing better then the standard brands even after they are long dead. When I was no longer able to get the strings, I regretfully restrung my guitar with new strings that sounded worn out compared to the 6 month old and very used Pyramids I pulled off. At this point it doesn't seem worth putting strings on my guitar unless they are Pyramids. If it matters I play a very nice US Strat and run it through a black face Fender Bassman, Blues Deluxe, Blues Jr, or Gibson GA-15rv. I think that the amps bring out the quality of the strings, so if you run a solid state or other cheaper amp, the strings may not be as important as an amp upgrade for you. I also highly recommend the Pyramid acoustic strings on better quality guitars. Of course, remember that if your set up is not able to reproduce the frequencies, the strings won't matter as much. So save up for better tools, it is worth it.

"PYRAMID Strings are, as exactly as is possible, the same as they were in the late 50's and 60's. They are a super quality, premium string and may be considered expensive compared to the many economy brands on the market but give players the sound they have been seeking for years and last 4-10 times longer than most other strings. PYRAMID strings are actually an exceptional value in this light. Most important, however, is that they are the type of strings (construction, material, gauge and tone/timbre) that created the music and sound of the 50's and 60's in the first place. PYRAMID STRINGS ARE SIMPLY MORE MUSICAL! It is no secret that strings make the most rapid and radical change of almost any of the many factors that make up 'tone'. The spectacular musical tone and timbre of Pyramid strings is as a result of the finest materials being blended by masters of the string makers art. Pure nickel flat wounds and smaller core/heavier nickel wrap round wounds used to be available from several makers. This is no longer true! Expanding market demand for increased quantities of strings, faster production and lower prices, resulted in extinguishing the capability and desire to make these types of strings, among the world's string makers, for the most part. PYRAMID, in contrast, has made only the highest quality strings possible since 1850 and continues to do so today. PYRAMID Gold pure nickel flat wounds are the way flat wounds used to be! They give the player the ability to get exactly, some of the most famous and loved guitar and bass sounds/tones of all time. PYRAMID Maximum Performance pure nickel round wound strings are round wound that sing, combining brilliance with the warmth of pure nickel. Our Maximum Performance pure nickel round wounds are also about one third lower in tension that other strings of the same external gauge. This is the result of our use of smaller higher quality core wire and a larger diameter wrap of expensive pure nickel. This is what creates the superbly balanced and remarkable tone and timbre of these strings."
