consistent excellence
January 11, 2021
15 years ago my Martin warranty tech recommended Pyramid strings. I still use these .013-.056 strings exclusively. My small body Martin rings out with harmonics for weeks and my old thumper Guild Dread sings each note low to high evenly and powerfully.
Powerful and enduring, these Pyramid strings can take a $100 guitars and make it sound like a $500 guitar just by the depth and consistent sound up and down the neck.
Plus these strings sound great long after the month long crispness fades.
I recommend them to every player I talk to.
ProsBig sound from the heavier gauge strings. sound quality very good for months. good for fingerpickers or strummers. greatly improves sound quality of inexpensive guitars.
Consget your calluses on because these strings are stiff and take some work to press and bend.

Been an acoustic guitarist performing for 28 years now and these strings are the best I've ever used and I've used them all (Martins, Elixers, etc)

This set sounds fantastic, but...

This medium set sounds bright, yet meaty enough to punch through on stage. I *really* love the tone. The problem I have is that the wrap on the ball-end of the wound strings is loose and too bulky to fit through the hole on the bridge of a Lowden on the 46 and 56. I was able to muscle the 46 into place, but I had to use a .56 from d'Addario, and the tonal difference between that one string and the other Pyramid strings is obvious. I just wish that JustStrings and Pyramid offered singles. I could use a 60.

If you want the sound of the Beatles or most early 60's bands these are the strings to use. The quality is apparent the first time you hear them.

Best of the best. Not cheap but value comes from a well produced product.

Great strings. Rich full sound and stay fresh much longer than any store bought string.
