Baritone guitar uses
November 9, 2019
I play 27-28 scale baritone guitars. The other week when we were tracking guitars I was using a 27 scale mayones with DR strings. I was doing some sliding notes from the 15th-14th frets to the 2nd-3rd frets and I was having some string drag. I was getting a little frustrated and then I remembered I had this string lubricator. I applied just a little and it immediately fixed the problem. The low string was a 70 gauge, this product also helps with string fluidity
ProsHelps with string drag for large string gauges and string fluidity This product is not oily or greasy
ConsNone, great product

XLR8 Practical Luxury
February 1, 2015
D'Addario's simple cleaner/lubricant pad is well designed and provides the means to quickly clean and lubricate strings without the mess of sprays. Upon first use your strings will feel as if they have been coated in ice. If you've not used a string lubricant before, be ready to experience luxury. If you've used the afore mentioned "classic" spray (or my personal favorite: PAM cooking spray!), you'll find the handy pad a perfect upgrade. In particular, XLR8 is a must for players working in humid climates. Moisture in the air combined with the light sheen of oil provided by XLR8 will make your technique the only speed limitation you'll ever experience.
