Doesn't fit my acoustic electrics (2).

Just received this product, and have generally viewed D'Addario products favorably (strings, obviously), but this time am quite disappointed.
I bought this product to prevent the feedback that sometimes occurs when using a vocal mic at the same time as the acoustic guitars with their manufacturer-installed pickups.
Product description: "In fact, the Screeching Halt will adapt rapidly to most guitars, allowing the player to crank the volume. The cover will also adapt to most pickup systems without disrupting placement or performance."
Unfortunately, the product will fit neither of my two acoustic electrics (both high quality, expensive instruments). It is too large for the sound-hole on one. On the other, it might fit except that it would damage the pickup (L.R. Baggs Anthem) because of its mounting at the rim of the sound hole.
An additional "unfortunately": The JustStrings return policy states "A full refund is available (less Shipping & Handling) for unopened merchandise". In this case, I had to open and try to use the product to find that it won't work. So, according to this policy, I am stuck with a unusable and unreturnable purchased item. Fortunately (in this case), It was inexpensive.
Recommended improvements to product description: (1) describe specifically the sound hole sizes that the product will work with and (2) state that it will not install on guitars where the pick-up is installed on the rim of the sound hole.

Jeffrey your review only tells us that your old! How about a bit of detail on what it does? IE: completely mutes the sound or reduces feedback, anything!?
