fret wear
It could just be my frets are a little sharp, but the bass strings wear out pretty fast. I love the way this set plays and feels. . .but this is their only drawback.

basses wear out
I really like these for flamenco . . .they have a little more "give" than the ProArte hards I was using. But it seems that the bass strings get fret marks pretty easily. . .could be my capo. . .

Great strings, great price
The set of Popular Supremes I tried felt great under the fingers, settled almost immediately into tune and shared the intonation profile of a set of Hannabach 815MTs I also tried. To me, they also sounded rather a lot like the 815s, only the Luthiers were punchier and a bit more fun to play. Oh and half the cost.

I admit it: I want to use expensive, exotic imported strings made in the same factory since the 19th century. Flamboyance always wins over utility for me. The Luthier strings aren't imported and don't strike me as expensive or exotic. Neither their packaging, nylon formulation nor their silver content will impress at parties. And therein lies the dilemma.

I need more glitz, but the Luthiers I tried were fantastic strings. Regarding sound, intonation, feel, and time to settle into tune, the Luthier 20s delivered with shocking ease.

Luthier Guitar Strings
The strings I purchased are very good. I will continue to use Luthier guitar strings. I stared using these strings on the recommendation from the Pimentels who made the guitar I use.

Popular Supreme Med Tension Strings
After using these strings for the past few months I find them to be excellent. The tone is wonderful and they are just the right feel for the techniques I am learning.

Luthier Popular Supreme
I agree with the first review, these are great strings for flamenco, especially the basses which have a lot of 'give', are nice and clear sounding and don't buzz on my Francisco Barba, despite the fact that they're medium tension which is usually an issue for flamenco guitars.

These strings are in my opinion, the go to flamenco strings. They have a crystal clear sound, good projection and they settle in nice and quick. The tension is perfect for my guitar a 660mm flamenco with a cedar top and cypress back and sides. They last quite long and they don't break the bank. I think for many people, the Pro Arte line is the go to, but I prefer these as a solid all around flamenco string.
