These strings pack a serious punch!

Recently purchased a new (less expensive) Steinberger 4 string bass. Had my tech guy give it the "once over" in the form of a neck adjustment, setting the intonation and putting on a fresh pack of these amazing strings! WOW!! Such a punchy sound! I really love that Labella made them with a thinner wrap on one end to make them sit better on the saddles near the locking bridge! My tech was very impressed by that particular detail. Solid contact all the way up and down the neck! Will definitely be using the Labella Double ball strings from now on!
Great tone, much and fit! none so far

I have one of the Gibson/Epiphone Spirit XT-2 basses. This set won't fit, being about a half to 3/4 inch too short. I have LaBella's on my Hofner and like them a lot. Thought these might fit so I gave it a shot. Being a newbie to the Steinberger world, I'm just attempting to see what brands will fit these basses. So far, the only ones I've found that are the right length are the Steinberger ST-109's. JustStrings does not carry these, but you can get them elsewhere. JustStrings is a great place, with helpful tech people and excellent customer service. After I sent these back, they asked for a review to maybe help someone else out, so I hope those of you with one of these fine basses can benefit.

Absolutely fantastic strings

These are by far the best strings I have found for my Spirit bass. I've tried every oher brand out there over the years as an active, gigging musician and for tone, playability and longevity these are as close to perfect that money can buy. The Steinberger is my primary axe for home practice, band practice and the stage so it gets played at least 4 hours a day, every day. The set on it was strung almost a year ago and they're still stable and easy to play. If you have already made the decision to join the ranks of the Headless Bassplayers then do yourself a favor and buy these. I have around 35 years of experience that says you won't be disappointed.

La Bella Double Ball Bass Strings

Thank you! It is so hard to find any music store in Orange County, NY that carries bass strings for the Steinberger bass. Your prices are reasonable and you have made it extremely easy for me to purchase what I need.

Again, thank you!

"Developed by La Bella's president Richard Mari Cocco with Ned Steinberger, these strings have been manufactured to exact specifications for Steinberger's revolutionary headless instruments. The La Bella company are the legitimate makers of these patented Double Ball System strings which are specifically required for guitars and basses by Arbor, Burnside, Cort, Hohner, Lotus, Mach I and Status. Steinberger S Series Double Ball guitar strings may be used for the 'Transposing-Tremolo' model guitar, however, for the best results we recommend the ST or STP Series calibrated sets."
