la bella hrs the king of strings
January 9, 2011
I have tried many string brands over the years and these are the best. I did use ernie ball slinkys for years and then I read that tony iommi use la bella hrs and I did think I had to try it; they're the best strings I have ever played on. They feel good, sound good, and last forever. I use la bella hrs on all my working horses and use only ernie on my guitars that i have in my collection and don't use a lot because they are cheap. As an experiment I have use a the same la bella strings on one guitar for five years and played it every day for at least 1 hour a day and it still sounds good. I don't know how I can say it but la bella strings feel so good, like silk, they are not stiff and hard like other strings and are a pleasure to play on and are super good to bend. The only drag is the price witch is twice as much as ernie ball slinkys but they are worth it. I will always play la bella as long as I can buy them. They are the king of strings.

If you de-tune, these are the strings for you. I use these in a gigging Black Sabbath tribute band and they've held up as low as C#. Besides, if they're good enough for Tony Iommi, they're good enough for me!
