La Bella Classical Guitar Golden Superior Black Nylon/Golden Alloy Polished, 900B
June 1, 2020
The only strings I have been using for decades, following the recommendations of Baden Powell, a Brazilian guitarist who used to live in Paris and recorded many albums using those strings. They do not squeak at all and that's exactly what I was after for my recordings. And the black nylon is beautiful, but that's irrelevant to the sound quality.

Love these strings!

I've tried a lot of different strings and spent a whole hell of a lot of money doing it. These strings are the only strings I use anymore. If I can't find these I'll use the La Bella 2001 series but other than that, I don't look anywhere else. There's something special and a bit magical about the trebles in this set as well. Very rare earth sounding with a responsive nature that can't be beaten at any price.

After trying many different strings, I read the reviews on these and decided to give them a shot...... They are all I use now and have no intent of looking at anything else. They brought my instruments to life and for a lot less than many other options. Try them, you won't regret it.

My favorite string since 1975. Warm, mellow sound, not brittle or too bright. No finger squeak, particularly when amplified.

I really love these strings. They really bring out the most in my guitars and the black treble strings manage to have a subtle but distinct sound difference. I haven't used any other string in years!

I make my living playing guitar. I love these strings. I feel that the black nylon gives the guitar a more earthy sound, I think because they are a bit harder. Clean glassy highs, with sweet smooth lows, very responsive and very little string talk if any at all. They also minimize nail noises on the strings if your like me and use a bit more nail than others. I use non other.

La Bella 900-B classical strings

In my never ending quest to find that " Willie Nelson" sound, I read a long time ago somewhere (falsely) that he uses 900-B strings.
But I found that they really do sound great, very brassy bass sound with a lot less string talk and the harder black trebles are a touch louder and with more sustain ( something lacking in clear nylon strings ).
The only negative things are that they are a little pricier at $9.00+ and that the third wound string ( D) breaks easily (3 times on 3 different guitars)
They upgraded the sound on all 3 guitars.

"The 900B Golden Superior strings also have polished Golden Alloy basses but include black nylon trebles. Especially designed for the concert performer, the smooth surface on the basses allows the player to shift positions without any noise or squeak. Highly polished, these basses are recommended for both studio recordig and live performances."
