I have been playing the bass since the mid 70's. To say that I have tried many manufacturers of bass strings is an accurate and honest statement. I use a 5 string bass, and the taper core feature allow for the bridge to be slightly elevated, while allowing the tapered strings to be closer to the neck without the buzzing! Also, these strings just last and last. If you wipe them down after use, they will ring true much longer than most I have experimented with, of course, being stainless really helps. Buy with confidence, I highly recommend these strings.

going back to the Rock Masters!

I love Ken Smith strings. Love the sound they give. I've always played the Slap Masters, but ran into a situation where I needed some Smith's and all the store had in stock was some Rock Masters. So I ended up buying them. After they wore out I went back to the Slap Masters, but listened to a recording I did with the Rock Masters and was very pleased with the tone. I'm going back and giving them a second chance.
