Just what I needed
October 31, 2019
I use hybrid gauge Dunlops (9-46) on all my electric guitars. These are my absolute favorite strings. The only thing is, while they are perfect "as is" on my 25.5 scale guitars, on my 24.75 scale guitars I find the low E can get a little "flubby" when I really dig in. So I decided to try out a bulk pack of JustStrings 48s. Perfect! Very stable when really digging in on my 24.75 scale guitars and they complement the Dunlops very well. I should say I also tried GHS 9-46 as they have a thicker core and potentially stiffer on the would strings. They were but, I did not like their tone at all. I LOVE the tone of Dunlops and like I said, these bulk strings complement them very well. So much so that I just may buy each string in bulk and create my own custom gauge string set next. Highly recommended!
ProsStable tuning. Great tone.
ConsNone.

Great String, use it for the A on my archtop. Some great sounds that are bright and clear. Can't beat the price either.

I am very pleased with your products and your services. Product arrived in a timely manner and have already put a set on my dobro and, yes, I will be ordering again in the future... thank you.

.048W bulk
November 12, 2009
Thicker than expected, way too hard for my taste. I am used to .050W E strings but I decided to go a bit lighter, but these are not lighter at all. I would recommend going down to .046w or even .044w if you want a detectable decrease in gauge. Unfortunately I am stuck with these .048w as well as the .038w and .028w which I bought in bulk. This is not to say they are bad strings because they are nice quality, they are just a lot thicker than I expected.
