Many National Guitars leave the factory with these strings... But they do feel a little heavy
August 4, 2021
John Pearse make great strings but I think I'm going to try a lighter set (#200L Light Gauge .012 .016 Silvered Steel .024 .032 .042 .053 Phos. Bronze Wound) the next time I change strings.

Very good sounding on a wood body biscuit cone reso.
May 27, 2021
These sound great on a wood body biscuit reso, Haven't tried them yet on my old steel National but I imagine they'd be fine. These bring out good tone especially around the A and D strings. I had to put a .017 on top to really make the top end shine. That's why I only put 4 stars. I will buy them again and some single ,017's

My $400 Regal sounds a LOT better now. More sustain, clearer notes...a good value

Well, I may just have to second Mr. Keitel's review.

John Pearse Strings

100% My Nationals are strung with John Pearse Strings. Anything less would be an insult to the instrument.
