GHS Mandolin Strings
Eight mandolin sets in a variety of materials and gauges are available from GHS. Bright bronze gives a vibrant tone. Phosphor bronze strings are almost as bright but have a longer life. Silk/steel and silk/bronze have a mellower tone and have reduced tension. They are smoother on the fingers and are often preferred by finger pickers. Stainless steel strings are used with mandolins with magnetic pickups.
GHS has been manufacturing strings since 1964 and builds all the machinery used to make their strings in house. String winders are computer managed for superior accuracy, but the human touch maintains quality. GHS prides itself on the excellence of their materials and the consistency of their manufacturing. Musicians worldwide rely on the quality and reliability of GHS strings.
