Great short scale strings
October 25, 2022
I got a bass in a trade and these strings were on the bass, when I got it. I took them off and installed my normal LaBella flats which did not work on my short scale bass. Reinstalled the ghs strings and I love how every string rings out and they sound fantastic on my G&L Fallout bass . I will be buying another set soon
Great sound across every string very clear and crisp sounding none

I really like these strings
July 14, 2022
I really like these. I have these on four basses (2 short and 2 long scale). They do feel more balanced than other strings, and they have a great fundamental with strong midrange. I put these on an Epiphone Allen Woody Rumblekat.

Great strings and GREAT service
May 8, 2021
Strings were perfect for my bass. Unfortunately, USPS lost the package but I contacted juststrings and they sent me out a new set right away. A++ service and communication. Will buy from them again for sure.

Great on a Mikro!
January 8, 2020
I put the short-scale set on an Ibanez Mikro bass. Tension is higher than the stock strings, so the action had to be adjusted, but that was easy. My preference is the "mellow" side of the mellow/bright scale and I'm loving the sound and feel of these.
Tension, feel, sound. G string is a bit long for the Mikro(see photo)

Excelent strings
October 23, 2019
These are by far the best strings I've used on short scale basses. They not only sound great but the even tension between strings is fantastic. no more flabby strings on the low end and strings so tight on the top end you cant hold them down.
Long lasting, great tone, and balanced tension. You can work across the fretboard and use the same amount of pressure on each string and get a solid note. GHS got the core sizes right for short scale bases plus having the same number of wraps on each string give then the same inertia when plucked and balanced output. Believe me I tried every brand made and other then one set of Hofner style Flats made by Labella, most short scale strings are a huge fail. A shorter scale means less tension on each string. you have to use larger core sizes to maintain the kind of tension long scale strings have. gauge along doesn't change tension because you can have thin cores and thick wraps and still have a flabby string. String tones are excellent too. Bright on the top end, deep on the bottom and mids that are spot on when intonated properly. Ideal for recording and they even slightly longer scaled Hofner basses Other then the fact these are Nickle strings which can tarnish over time, I simply haven't found any negatives on these strings yet and I've used the one set for 6 months already. There aren't any other strings that last longer then 3 months on the short scale before they loose tone or develop tuning issues and I've tried every brand made. .
