Solid - Dependable - Great Price
January 24, 2020
Not ashamed to admit that price was a key factor in my decision to purchase these strings. What I received in return for my investment is a solid and dependable 5-String set that holds up well with no surprises. I gig regularly in a cover band playing a wide variety of styles. These strings handle that workload admirably. They do exactly what I need.
It's impossible to conclude a review of these strings without mentioning the first-rate service provided by Just Strings. In addition to affordable strings, these folks ship quickly and their customer service personnel are courteous and knowledgeable.

They get the job done

I have used many other brands of strings on other basses I have used over the years... Rickenbacker 4001, G&L-L2500, but when I bought my Fender 5-string, the bass simply sounded wonderful, and the gauges and tension feel just right. I haven't felt the slightest curiosity to go with another brand for this bass. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Awesome nickel plated string for a bargain price. Durable and consistant.
Nickel plating and price. Not as long lived as pricier brands and stainless steel.

Not the best strings out there...but good choice for the $$$. Good sound and string life for the $$$. Fender strings are like a fender guitar >> will get you thorough any gig!!

Good strings but the B string is a little bit
weak. Or is it my Jazz bass ?
Anyway it is hard to find a good B string
with lots of definition. Ernie Ball are very good but also very bright. In general I would say that the fender strings are a good choice.

These strings are very nice, mostly on fretted basses. I personally think they sound best on jazz bass styles over any others but that is just my ears. After months go on of usage of these strings they start to loose that zing that feels so good when they are new. I think they sound best with a moderate action, when your action is too low with these they start to sound more clanky than anything and with high action it can tend to lose some of the tone and hurt beginner's fingers.

Super Bass 7250's

"The "high-octane" nickel-plated steel strings for your bass. With a pure steel wrap, the magnets in your pickups use the whole string (not just the core) and transform the energy into high output bursts of sound. The nickel plating enhances feel and reduces "string squeak" and fret wear without compromising tone. We use them exclusively on our U.S. Vintage Series basses built in Corona, CA. Offered in 4-, 5- or 6- string versions, these are our most popular bass strings."
