Found My Sound
September 15, 2022
The pure nickel Fender Bullet End electric strings give me the tone I was looking for. I had gone from a solid alder body Strat to a semi-hollowbody ash thinline Tele with f-hole and sound was to harsh and "airy". Still use D'Addario on another solid body electric but its the Fender pure nickel only for my Tele.
My tone preference, low cost affordable.
Pure Nickel not widely available as other types.

Fender Bullets Pure Nickel
June 19, 2017
I don't use distortion, basely a clear channel guy, Jazz, Blues, Country, Classic Rock, Praise and Worship.
I love these strings, give me the tones I like and are good to use fingerstyle.

For me, better than others

I just finished a trial between the 3150L, and D'Addario & Elixir of the same gauges.
D'Addario doesn't have pure nickel, it is plated, and Elixir doesn't say what they are made of. While they all were still just a few days old, meaning so they still sounded new. I changed from one to the other. I am using them on a Jeff Beck artist series Strat. The all sounded good, with the Elixir having a softer, somewhat less defined sound for chording. The clearest of all were the Fender. I was especially surprised because solos above 12th fret were clearer and had more sustain. I also felt the sustain must be a result of the bullet ends as the two others have ball ends.
I've tried Ernie Balls in the past, not on this guitar, but I don't care for their tone. So they were never in the mix.
I like these a lot and no longer have a need to try others. I play a mix of music, not including metal or hard rock, but just about everything else. They are great on ballads, country, blues, southern, rock and jazz.
