Ernie Ball Twelve (12) String Guitar Strings
(Ernie Ball Strings are only available for shipment to addresses in the United States, U.S. Territories & Possessions, and APO FPO destinations)
Ernie Ball 12-String Guitar strings are offered in both acoustic and electric sets. Ernie Ball Acoustic 12-String guitar strings are available in 80/20 bronze with light or medium gauges, phosphor bronze in medium gauge, or silk and steel. The Electric 12-String guitar strings come in a Slinky version and two custom gauged nickel plated steel sets.
Choose between the Ernie Ball Acoustic 12-string sets based on the desired sound and string feel. The 80/20 bronze sets are wound on hexagonal tinned steel cores. These are the most popular acoustic, 12-string sets and give a bright, crisp tone with the normal feel of a round wound string. For a softer, more comfortable string feel with reduced finger noise, choose the silk and steel 12-string set. The 80/20 bronze wrap has a layer of silk between the wrap and the steel core producing a more mellow tone with increased playability. The phosphor bronze version of Ernie Ball’s 12-string set produce a warm, ringing tone with superior clarity. Phosphor bronze can be mellower than 80/20 bronze, but usually has a longer tone life.
Ernie Ball Electric 12-String guitar strings are offered in a popular Slinky version plus two custom gauged sets (light and medium). The Slinky set has the famous world class Slinky feel and sound with nickel plated steel round wound on a hexagonal steel core, and plain steel strings of specially tempered tin plated high carbon steel. They combine for a well balanced Slinky sound. The custom gauged, nickel plated steel sets are differently gauged – light and medium, and both feature a wound G string. Both sets are often referred to as jazz sets, but unlike the Slinky 12-string they are also great for many other types of music. All the wound strings are made from nickel plated steel wire wrapped around a hexagonal shaped steel core wire, and the plain strings are made of specially tempered tin plated high carbon steel producing a well balanced tone for your guitar.
All Ernie Ball strings are precision manufactured to the highest standards and most exacting specifications to assure consistency, optimum performance, and long life.
