Strings I always use at a great price
May 9, 2022
“My” strings and great price and service. Arrived when they said they would. No complaints whatsoever.
If you?re a bulk buyer, great deal. I stock up on strings.
If all you want is a single set, your savings are wasted on shipping. Buy several sets. You get a much better deal.

Bigsby vibrato tail pieces add additional length requirements for the strings used. On standard electric guitars, the strings are long enough to accommodate the Bigsby, but will be too short on a baritone guitar with a Bigsby.

Strings too short
March 17, 2016
The highest string is too short for my guitar (28 and 5/8 scale, strat headstock with a Bigsby bridge). I bit incredible that they made it too short, as if they did not realize that baritones need longer strings. Money wasted.

Elixir Baritone Strings.
February 13, 2015
The only strings that I found to truly capture the best characteristics of increased scale length (Warmoth 28 5/8") and down tuning. The transition from a standard 25.5 or 24.75 scale to this and back is far more natural and consistent than what I experienced by just getting higher gauged strings from other manufacturers that are geared towards traditional scale lengths. I will only ever use these for now on my Baritone, and now this completes my lineup to where all of my guitars of all tunings and scale lengths will only ever have Elixir strings on them.

Great except for the 3rd string

This is the best set I've found for my 27.5" aluminum baritone. The D'Addarios sound great but the gauges are either too light or too heavy. This set gives a nice slinky bendable feel on the upper strings and holds it together on the low strings. The guitar doesn't sound strident; instead it has bell-like cleans.
The only problem is the unwound .022 3rd string. I can't stand it. It always sounds weird/harsh and causes intonation problems. It's impossible to bend. I've been buying an Elixir wound .026 and replacing the 3rd with that, which works really well.

Outstanding Product!

Recently built my first Baritone. I used Elixir .012-.068. I'm just now reordering after several hundred hours of hard playing, but the set on my guitar still sounds great. The lower strings can almost sound like a piano and the upper can scream out lead lines. I now use Elixir Baritone strings on all my custom Baritone builds.

Elixir Electric Baritone Strings

The ONLY Baritone set on World Market that is really made for Electric Guitar and has the Unwound 3rd. This Set is in perfect Balance in overall String tension from 1st to 6th String. I swear by it.
