Possibly my new favorite strings!
November 24, 2022
I thought GHS Strings were the best for me but when my new guitar came with Elixirs on them I fell in love with the smooth texture and feel of them. Not sure If I'm fully switched from GHS Strings but I'm certainly open.
Good on my Eastman Archtop
June 23, 2022
Been using these Elixer NanoWeb 12- 52 gage strings on my Eastman Archtop for over 15 years now. Being a rhythm guitar player in a frequently gigging band, they get a good workout and hold their tone twice as long as other strings. The quality seems consistent however one time I got a badly wound (out of round) string that caused fret buzzing that had me taking my guitar unnecessarily to a Luthier who discovered it. But I figured one manufacturer defect in the dozens of sets I've used isn't too bad. During the Covid scare this gage was unavailable for a year. Luckily I keep a year supply. All in all, I would recommend Elixers. Juststrings is my store for Elixers with good pricing and special offers. My favorite offer was the, "Son of Snark Tuner" which is my favorite.
Longer life. Thus saving $ on strings. None for me.

The Elixirs are always consistent. They are lively and last a very long time. They usually last about a year for me. I've never had a bad string from any of the sets I've purchased. They also have reduced finger noise from the coating. They don't oxidize like other strings.

Great strings for my archtop. The guitar sounds beautiful both acoustically and amplified,

I have a wonderful jazz box and these are the perfect string for it. Plus they last and last, and JustStrings is the best place to buy them. No local stores carry them!

Elixir Strings Review
August 13, 2009
It's hard these days to come across heavier gauge strings in most places. I have been searching for good sounding-long lasting heavy gauge strings. So... I tried out the Elixir 12-52 strings. The Elixir's offer reduced finger noise due to the Nano Web coating. The overall tone of the string is bright and clear, but not too bright. They offer a well-balanced tone. The Nano Web coating also works perfectly to do its main purpose which is to make the strings last longer! I don't know about you but I play a lot. I often think that I must sweat acid or something because with un-coated strings, I often have to change my strings out after every show. With the Elixirs, I can keep a set on until I break a string. So... I would highly recommend these strings to anyone who is looking to save some change and keep their strings longer.

"Whether chicken-pickin', slingin' the blues, or rockin' the house, Elixir Strings Electric Guitar Strings deliver!

"Every time you play your guitar, tiny bits of you are left to invade the windings to contaminate your strings and kill your tone. Elixir Strings are the only strings that keep dirt out of the windings by coating the entire string. Our ultra-thin NANOWEB Coating provides a bright, lively tone that players tell us lasts longer than any other string, uncoated or coated. This means you buy fewer sets of strings, change them less often and trust your guitar is ready to go whenever you are.
