My current favorite flatwounds

These strings are on three of my basses. I love them because they have a higher tension than thomastik but with a similar tone range, making them ideal for basses which need more pull on the neck. The feel is closer to a DR or Labella round wound or even a hex core, with a snappy attack and a comfortable tension at medium action.
Good tension, tone, and feel. Excellent choice for a bolt on neck bass. The B string like many sets is a compromise. It does a good job at producing the notes below open E, but the string has yet to break in enough to make useable fundamental tones on the upper range of the B

Bei Euch in den Staaten kosten die Saiten fast nur die H?lfte.
Wenn man die etwas l?ngere Lieferzeit ber?cksichtigt - eine absolute Empfehlung!

I have been using Dunlop strings for a few years. I’m a 66 year old bass player, so, over the years I’ve tried quite a few different brands. Dunlop’s compare to the more expensive and “trendy” brands.
All of the styles of Dunlop strings have a long life. I insist on fresh strings. They seem to be the durable and stay in tune as well as any brand. Also, I buy all of my strings from Juststrings. They have a bigger selection that any of the large nationally know music stores and the big online music supply companies. I really haven?t found any fault with either Juststrings or Dunlop strings. Whenever I order sets of strings they are delivered within a couple days every time.

Dunlop Flatwound bass strings

I love these! Replaced the stock roundwound strings on my new 5-string fretless bass with these, and I couldn't be more satisfied. The bass has a 34" scale, but the low B sounds and feels just fine. I prefer the .125 for the low B, as the common .135 is often too floppy for my liking.
