I have been using Dunlop strings for a few years. I‚€™m a 66 year old bass player, so, over the years I‚€™ve tried quite a few different brands. Dunlop‚€™s compare to the more expensive and ‚€œtrendy‚€ brands.
ProsAll of the styles of Dunlop strings have a long life. I insist on fresh strings. They seem to be the durable and stay in tune as well as any brand. Also, I buy all of my strings from Juststrings. They have a bigger selection that any of the large nationally know music stores and the big online music supply companies.
ConsI really haven?t found any fault with either Juststrings or Dunlop strings. Whenever I order sets of strings they are delivered within a couple days every time.

Dunlop Flatwound bass strings

I love these! Replaced the stock roundwound strings on my new 5-string fretless bass with these, and I couldn't be more satisfied. The bass has a 34" scale, but the low B sounds and feels just fine. I prefer the .125 for the low B, as the common .135 is often too floppy for my liking.
