dunlop phosphor bronze light strings
July 21, 2018
I put these on my Martin 000-16 in May of last year. I played an average of 2 hours a day, and I just changed them a week ago. They sounded better than the new Martin 92/8's I put on.(that's a phos./bronz %) I'm totally sold on these strings for my martins. My only complaint is it takes a bit to break them in. Great sound and volume, and (for me) will outlast just about any other strings out there. VERY happy!

Dunlop Acoustic DAP 1254 strings

I was experimenting with strings on a Taylor DN 310 made in 2000 and came upon these phosphor bronze strings. They have proven to be the best I've used on this guitar. They are clear, balanced, warm, long lasting and not too squeaky. They also have a very nice feel to them. I have started using them on other guitars--especially if other strings have sounded 'mushy' and not clear. They aren't overly bright and are quite natural to my ear. Very good!

Probably the most under-rated guitar strings. They are FABULOUS. They out-Martin Martin strings, and that's saying something.

These strings are perfect: clear, warm and bright. They are especially good on large-body guitars. I have a fairly rare Martin J-1 and Dunlops are the strings to beat now. Nothing better.
