Great action for playing acoustic leads
December 20, 2020
As a lead player in an acoustic cover band these are my go to strings. I have very acidic sweat and ruin strings overnight, and as a working musician must change my strings regularly. These strings have the perfect gauge for lead playing (I need that .22 G string) and the best price point for me to be able to change them weekly as needed, and sound great on my Alvarez guitars with the 600T preamp. Have tried almost every brand out there and keep returning to Dunlop strings for durability (I don’t snap these as often as others of the same gauge) and affordability.
ProsGauged for lead players and beginners with good twang. Also can?t beat the price!
ConsBeing that they aren?t a coated string they will tarnish from the oils in your skin a bit sooner. So need to be changed a bit more often.

Perfect for acoustic leads
October 29, 2018
I have tried many different name brands, but not many have the 023 G string. The 022's I seem to break, and 24's are too hard on the fingers after a nights gig of playing leads with the band. (I tend to bend a lot of notes).
I also like the economy of these srtings, I have very acidic sweat, and my peers call me grunge hand, so I tend to change strings more ofren than most players.
These strings have a nice sound, fresh and also a bit crisp. They also sound great through our system on my Alvarez Electric/Acoustic.
So in my opinion I get the most bang for my buck with these strings. I have found the custom combinations I like with others, but most are more than twice the price, and don't last me any longer. i also have found them to be quite durable too, I use to break more strings before finding this 10-48 combo.
