Tortex sharp picks
September 27, 2009
I have been using the regular tortex picks in various gauges since I picked up the guitar. I was recently introduced to the sharp versions, and immediately picked up some in my preferred gauge (the green 0.88 mm picks) and I could see an immediate improvement in control and speed. With a sharp pick, there is less of the pick contacting the string and so there is less friction, which improves speed and control.
With picks, it all comes down to preference, but I would highly recommend trying these if you like any kind of sharp picks, but you also like the size and/or the material of the standard tortex picks.
I would also like to mention that these picks are almost the exact same length as the standard tortex picks, but the sides are flat instead of rounded which gives the sharper point where they meet.
