These strings are well made, sound excellent and last twice as long as ordinary phosphor bronze strings. I use them on all my asoustics. I play alot of outdoor venues and in high humidity (So. Fla.) and these string hold up really well.
ProsGreat sound, well made, long life
VERY impressed with these strings

I've been using D'Addario strings since the 70s due to their consistency and overall tonal performance. But I may be moving over to DR, which I have never used before. Put these on an Ovation Dave Amato Signature Viper (wood back, closed top) and they sound fantastic. Not only sound but they have a bounce to the string and a tension that feels just right to me. I play bare handed with nails and the feel of the string is as important as the sound to me. These Veritas strings have great intonation accuracy up the neck and the internal chord voices are heard with clarity and authority; inner voices aren't muddled but have a balance and expression that is a gas. When you pluck rather than strum chords, strings that aren't consistent never sound truly in tune and it can drive you crazy. These things just ring and ring when tuning is properly tempered. Overall, this was a real surprise to me and I'm not planning on going back to D'Addario anytime soon.

Haven't had them on long enough (just a few days so far) on my 90s Gibson (model "Gospel") to judge how long they last but they're definitely a different animal. Most noticeably to me on the Veritas the low stings have more growl, and all strings have more volume and improved note distinction though not at the expense of excellent sustain. They've caused me to go for the low E more, where even hammer-ons are more clear and satisfying - a hook that will probably keep me using them. Seems like these stings sort of turned my Gibson into a Martin D-28 as far as distinct flat picking, though with the extra Gibson bass power. Interesting turn of events that is keeping me well entertained.

I have tried these on 2 guitars now; what I found was this: A Yamaha APX 20 with 3 day old Martin SP FX strings on so I replaced them 1 at a time to compare. Result is that they feel much like the Martin SP's but are quite a bit louder and project better. In short they are very similar to the Martin SP FX strings but with somewhat of an improvement. Restrung my Yamaha T2 travel guitar and found that the Veritas strings made it sound like a much larger guitar when put through my acoustic amp. In short these are very good strings. They claim to last 4X longer, only time will tell but they are a definite top quality product.
