These strings lasted about twice as long as others I have used. I find that Phosphor Bronze has a bit of a muted sound to them, and these seemed a bit more muted than normal, but it was still a good sound. I would buy these again as I like to switch between string types and these were long lasting and nice sounding strings.

MD-12 DR mandolin strings
These strings give my mandolin a more robust tone compared to the standard J74's made by D'Addario. The E and A strings have much more substance, so you can play harder and get a more full sound. They play about the same as D'Addario J75's, but last longer. The D'Addario EXP's don't sound natural to me and take too long to break in. These DR MD-12's are the best of all worlds. They last longer than the old standard J74. They have more woof to them and can handle the hard picking, and they don't take long to break out of the "tinny" new string phase. Try them. If you're afraid of a thicker string, the step lower set DR makes are still great strings.
