Good upright bass sound. No finger noise and easy on the fingers.

Wow. I just put these D'Addario Black Nylon Tape Wound strings on my Tacoma Thunderhawk CB10CE4 acoustic bass and they make it sound like I'm playing an upright acoustic. Really love the sound and feel of these strings. Easy on your fingers. Plenty of volume, and there is almost no finger squeek. I highly recommend for acoustic bass guitar.

Great sounding and playing strings on a fretted Fender P-bass. I recently switched from upright (several decades) to electric bass (physical limitations), and these strings give me a rich dark but clear/clean sound on the Fender. Very responsive.

Wow, these are the strings I have been looking for. I have a Warwick Limited Edition Blonde Thumb Bass that was made fretless and I have been trying several brands of strings. These strings have a great bottom end and a great mwah sound. The tapewound strings feel so silky. It's a nice break from my other basses with roundwound strings. If you have a fretless bass, you have to try these. Just awesome.

These strings work great! I was looking for something with a nice full tone but with a little more brightness than traditional flatwounds for my fretless bass, and these definitely do that. Plus they look stunning on an all black bass, it looks as if I'm simply summoning notes from the vicinity of my bass.

I'm using these on my Carvin AC40 fretless bass, and I must say I'm very impressed. They are very warm sounding and have just the right feel -- not too much tension -- great for fingerstyle, and, of course, very fretboard friendly. I've used nylon tapewounds by Fender and Labella and these just feel and sound better to me. Very expressive and well balanced. If you want to bring an acoustic sound to your fretless , this is a great choice.

I've always liked these. They sound great on my 1967 Hagstrom B2 for my style. They sound more "acoustic" and they're very easy on the fingers. If you're looking for a bright sound, these aren't for you. No local place around here has them in stock.

These strings sound great on my acoustic electric basses. Very thumpy and warm. I play mostly jazz so this sound is just what I need to play standards. Not exactly an upright-bass sound but certainly adequate for most gigs. I continue to get compliments from players and listeners on my bass sound. Acoustic Image amp, Boulder Creek fretless acoustic electric bass, and Daddario Black Nylon Tapewound strings!

On my 79 Gretsch Committee Bass these strings make this old electric bass sound almost as good as an upright with plenty of depth on the hi & low end & everything in between.
