Not for me
February 20, 2021
This is the first set of D'Addario uke strings I've tried. Ordinarily I like D'Addario strings, but personally I do not like these uke strings, I wanted to try a low G set up, but I find that these fluorocarbon strings are weak sounding, and the low G is too mushy for me.
I will still use other D'Addario strings for my acoustic, electric, and bass guitars, just not for uke. (I tried these on my Kanile'a Islander ukulele)

Really improved to sound of my Uke!!
November 8, 2019
Bought a Kala KTG, with Aquila strings. Change to the D’Addario strings the the instrument sounds better than my custom made Uke.
I do use a wound Low G string instead of fluorocarbon, but just my personal choice.

Sound is good - 1st string breaks often
October 7, 2019
It's hard to tune 1st string to A4 without breaking it. This is unfortunate because I can't find a place where I can get just the first string, so I end up WASTING a whole set just to salvage the first string!
I have replaced hundreds of sets of strings on various instruments. This is the only one I can say that consistently breaks "just before" it gets in tune. No more EJ99TLG for me. It's back to Aquila for me.
