These are very good strings. Four days after installing the first E string slithered out of the hand tied locking loops at the string saddle. I would suggest leaving a few inches of string untrimmed until all the slack is stretched out. I trimmed the ends too short. I would buy these strings again.

These strings are a complete sleeper, especially for the price. The black nylon has a slightly more lyrical tone to it than clear trebles ... something that works very well on "bright" guitars. The overall balance and longevity of the strings is superb, they last at least a month of playing every day. I play both flamenco and classical guitar ... flamenco is a Dale Foye and the classical is a Contreras ... both cedar tops. If you like a slightly more "mellow" tone, you might like these strings.
