My long search is over for strings that make my guitar sound more expensive than it is.

Iā€™ve never written a product review before, but Iā€™m so impressed with the Dā€™Addario EJ45FF Pro Arteā€™ Carbon strings, I thought Iā€™d share my thoughts. First, tone can be subjective, and strings might sound different on different guitars. I have a moderately priced classical guitar ($3,200 1999 Antonio Picado Concierto). Iā€™ve tried just about every brand of classical guitar strings, both nylon and carbon fiber. Iā€™ve found many strings are dull and muddy sounding and the middle strings (particularly the 3rd) donā€™t project well. This is what Iā€™ve found with the Pro Arteā€™ normal tension strings: 1) They play very easily, much better than the hard tension, 2) Even when first installed, the 4th, 5th, & 6th strings have very little sting noise when you slide up and down the strings, 3) The intonation is perfect, at least with my guitar scale, 4) They stretch and settle in fairly quickly, 5) And what I like the most is that each string projects very evenly and rings out loud and clear. Other stings may be just as loud but because the Dā€™Addario project evenly they sound much better. My long search is over for strings that make my guitar sound more expensive than it is.

I have 7 classical guitars. I have put these EJ45FF strings on two of the 25.5 inch scaled guitars. I agree with the previous rater; they are clear and bright, and they feel sorry sonically more robust. I will likely continue use with with my Godin Multiac, as it is not negatively affected by the added tension. In fact it gives that guitar solo my added strength in the fundamental frequencies, which is quite nice. I feel, however, that the tension may be an issue on all of my other acoustic guitars.

I have several classical guitars and one of them seemed less bright sounding than my others. It's all solid wood, cedar and rosewood. So I tried these strings and they definitely add some brightness to the top 3 strings. Very Happy with that guitar now!
I suggest you look at the tension ratings because I believe they are slightly heavier than normal tensions.
