one set of strings by mail
July 28, 2021
if you want to compete with Amazon, you are going to have to reduce shipping cost. I paid 15.85 for this one set of strings, which included $6.95 for shipping and they came in the mail. if i got them through Amazon i could have gotten them next day for $8.99 because i have a prime membership. i choose juststrings because i dont support amazon for things i can get elsewhere, but this one is hard to justify.
the strings are great, the service is great, and i like the swag, but "shipping" is expensive. Maybe you can increase price on product to cover "handling" - i know you need to pay people, and Az is the 80000 pound gorilla, but i want you to survive.

Well balanced

The strings are well balanced for volume and sustain on on the guitar I put them on.I didn't experience as much hi end " rattle ringing" so common on 12 string guitars.
Very pleased with them.
Check the comments. None.

My favorite strings!

After trying tons of other strings to find that "Holy Grail" choice of strings, I always return to D'Addario phosphor bronze. The 80/20s are great, but the phosphor bronze just stay alive longer and sound just as good. D'Addario has no equal!!!

Great sounding strings - have used them on my D-12-28 for several years and they hold up well through lots of playing. Just the right gauge for my playing.

EJ38 Phospher Bronze

I just restrung my new Martin d12x1AE with Martin 80/20 phosphor bronze strings, and changed them the very next day back the to D'Addario EJ38's that the guitar shop had put on. They have a much better feel and have a great sound.

Balanced and Durable

After trying many brands and types, I've settled on D'Addario Phosphor Bronze for my Seagull S12+ cedar top 12 string. Top four reasons I like these strings:

1. They sound great. Nice balanced tone. Not too bright, not too 'boomy', not at all muddy.

2. I play pretty hard and I used to break other brands of strings all too frequently. These D'Addarios *never* break on me.

3. I find they settle in quick and then hold tuning much better than others I've tried.

4. These last way longer than others. I continue to enjoy the tone after weeks of steady playing where others just go dead after one or two nights.

I've tried 80/20s, coated, etc, in many brands, but keep coming back to the D'Addario Phosphor Bronze because they sound great and stay alive for a long time. This is especially nice on the 12-string because changing out dead strings every other day is a PITA and a drain on the wallet.

I use these D'Addario's on my Ovation Elite and love the sound and the playability of them. On top of that, JustStrings' pricing is unbeatable!

"In 1974, D'Addario pioneered the use of phosphor bronze wire for the winding of acoustic guitar strings. D'Addario phosphor bronze strings were an instant and enduring success. A more costly alloy, phosphor bronze was widely known as a durable, long-lasting material used in machine bushings and bearings. After months of searching, a wire company was located that agreed to make sample wires for testing on music strings. The results made history. D'Addario phosphor bronze strings are bright sounding and retain their brilliance longer than other bronze and brass alloys.

Round wound phosphors are available in 6 different gauges for 6 string guitar, 3 gauges for 12 string, and 4 gauges in the Flat Tops series. Flat Tops are round wound phosphor bronze strings that are lightly polished to reduce finger noise and fret wear, and are an excellent choice for noise-fee recording. Phosphor Bronze strings are available in both environmental and standard packaging."
