D'Addario EJ16 Strings
Over 40 yrs of playing, and most of that spent with D'Addario. Yes, I've occasionally peaked over the wall to see what else was out there. There's nothing else out there.

D'Addario nailed it.

D'Addario EJ16s
Like other guitarists, I've tried many different brands and guages of strings with my acoustic guitars. It's nice to experiment once in awhile, but the strings I always come back to are D'Addario EJ16s. They have a nice balance, project well, and play nicely. I often play for folk dances that last 3 hours or so, so I need reliable strings. The EJ16s are the ones I choose.

EJ16
About 4 years ago I bought a brand new acoustic guitar.I have tried about 98% of all the strings on the market. I had my strings narrowed down to 2 brands. The D'Addario strings turned out to be my choice for tone, and especially for consistency time and again. I will not use any other strings for my guitars period.

D'Addario EJ-16 Strings
It is hard to beat EJ-16 strings for balance, brilliance and long life. I tried many other fine strings but always came back to these dependable strings.

Al DiMeola uses EJ16 and ECG24.

"In 1974, D'Addario pioneered the use of phosphor bronze wire for the winding of acoustic guitar strings. D'Addario phosphor bronze strings were an instant and enduring success. A more costly alloy, phosphor bronze was widely known as a durable, long-lasting material used in machine bushings and bearings. After months of searching, a wire company was located that agreed to make sample wires for testing on music strings. The results made history. D'Addario phosphor bronze strings are bright sounding and retain their brilliance longer than other bronze and brass alloys.

Round wound phosphors are available in 6 different gauges for 6 string guitar, 3 gauges for 12 string, and 4 gauges in the Flat Tops series. Flat Tops are round wound phosphor bronze strings that are lightly polished to reduce finger noise and fret wear, and are an excellent choice for noise-fee recording."
